How to read it
Serving size
Everything on the panel is per 2 capsules. At one capsule a day you get about half of what follows.
The blend name
It is printed as the “Test Boost Proprietary Blend.” A blend name is marketing, not a claim the label has to support, and this one points somewhere the rest of the bottle does not.
One blend line
1,000 mg, with a double asterisk meaning no Daily Value is established for it.
Order matters
Blend ingredients are listed from most to least by weight, so L-lysine is the largest share and raspberry ketones the smallest.
No standardisation
No “x% HCA” for garcinia, no “x% icariin” for horny goat weed, nothing for any of the extracts.
Other ingredients
Gelatin capsule, rice powder, magnesium stearate. The first of those is what makes this non-vegetarian.
What a more open label would look like
A fully transparent version of this panel would give each ingredient its own line and amount, for example “Apple cider vinegar (fruit) 200 mg,” and would state standardisation where it matters.
That format lets you compare a product with published research. A blend does not. This is legal and very common, and it is the main reason our expectations for Seneca are modest. The arithmetic is simple: 1,000 mg divided by nine is about 111 mg each if split evenly, and the real split is not published.
What we would publish if the maker sent more
- The milligram amount of each of the nine ingredients.
- Standardisation for the extracts: HCA for garcinia, icariin for horny goat weed, and so on.
- A certificate of analysis for the lot on your bottle.
- The name of the laboratory behind the “product/lab tested” roundel.
- The name of the clinician behind “doctor formulated.”
- Any explanation at all for why the blend is called the Test Boost Proprietary Blend.
Every one of those would make this site shorter and more useful. Ask for them at the order desk; a seller who answers with numbers is a seller worth buying from.
Supplement facts: questions
More answers on the full FAQ page.
What is in Seneca?
One Test Boost Proprietary Blend of 1000 mg per 2 capsules, holding nine ingredients: L-lysine HCL, apple cider vinegar, garcinia cambogia, tongkat ali, horny goat weed, wild yam, cinnamon, bitter melon and raspberry ketones.
How much of each ingredient is there?
Not published. A proprietary blend gives one total weight, so only the total, 1,000 mg, and the order of the list are known.
What are the other ingredients?
Gelatin capsule, rice powder, magnesium stearate (vegetable grade).
What do the lot and CoA codes mean?
Lot SEN-26/SE-5620 and CoA SEN-5620-26-SE are draft label codes that help match a bottle to a batch. They are not lab proof, and no certificate is published.
